This impressive antique Scottish brooch dates to c.1880 and showcases the superb craftsmanship of Victorian jewellery. A glowing rose-cut Citrine takes pride of place at the centre, its crisp facets radiating a bright lemon-yellow hue. Surrounding it, hand-cut Agates and Jaspers are meticulously pieced together in a perfect circular form, displaying a palette of earthy autumn tones from mustard yellow to cream and warm russets.

Substantial at 38mm across, this brooch would have been used to fasten a heavy cloak or shawl. Its robust Silver frame and pin, paired with the intricate inlay work, make it both practical and highly collectable. A wonderful example of Scotland’s jewellery tradition during the Victorian era.

EXCELLENT: The Agates and Jaspers are fine specimens with strong colour and no chips or cracks. The Citrine remains vibrant with crisp rose-cut facets. All stones are secure and well set. The Silver pin is sturdy, though the c-clasp and pin do not sit snugly and will need to be fastened through thicker fabric for best security.
