An enchanting pair of Victorian “Pools of Light” Rock Crystal double drop earrings, and an especially striking example of this highly collectable antique style. Each earring suspends two beautifully clear spherical Rock Crystals, graduating in size and articulated to create wonderful movement when worn.

The luminous Rock Crystal orbs are held within open Silver rope-twist cages, allowing light to pass freely through the stones and creating the captivating optical effect for which “Pools of Light” jewellery is so loved. The larger lower orbs lend these earrings a fabulous sense of presence, while delicate connecting links and contrasting 9ct Gold hooks complete their elegant Victorian silhouette.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings measure 53mm long including hooks.
Two smaller Rock Crystals measure 10.5mm in diameter.
Two larger Rock Crystals measure 13mm in diameter.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, 9ct Gold hooks, Rock Crystal.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The spherical Rock Crystals remain beautifully crisp, bright and clear, with no notable chips or damage. The Silver settings and articulated links are secure and well preserved, while the 9ct Gold hooks are in excellent order, making this an exceptionally well-kept pair for their age.
