ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is 40.5mm long x 39.5mm wide.
Paste graduate from 1.5mm to 3mm in diameter.
Weight: 10.4g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver, Metal pin for strength & durability, Paste.

STAMPS: French Boars head & Makers Mark on C clasp.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD. This Victorian Silver Paste double row crescent moon brooch is in very good condition. Each Paste gemstone is present and securely set, there is some natural variation in tone but they have retained a brilliant sparkle. The Silver is lustrous with a patina having accrued within the settings creating a wonderful contrast. Under close inspection, there are a few dings around the edge of the settings, commensurate with age, but this does not affect the integrity of the piece. With a fully and securely functioning metal pin and c clasp, you can wear this sublime Victorian crescent brooch with utmost confidence!
