This impressive Victorian Sterling Silver book chain dates to circa 1850, showcasing the bold and sculptural aesthetic of mid-19th-century jewellery, and comes complete with a coveted large 14mm boltring charm-holder fastening!

With a pleasing weight and exceptional craftsmanship, this chain can be worn alone as a statement piece or paired with a locket or pendant for a traditional Victorian look. A superb example of early Silver jewellery design with timeless appeal.

ERA: Victorian, c.1850.

MEASUREMENTS: Chain is 18 & 1/2" or 47cm long.
Links are 14.5mm wide.
Bolt ring is 14mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 42g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition
