This antique Victorian Seed Pearl Harlequin multi-gemstone necklace features a cacophony of gems...from Tourmalines, Golden Topaz, multi-coloured natural Garnets and a perfect peach-coloured Imperial Topaz.

Circa 1880, this unique antique necklace emanates femininity and elegance, her colourful Harlequin design derives its name from the brightly coloured costume of the character that originated in the 1600's.

The necklace has been handcrafted from 18ct Gold, with smooth bezel set gems & rose-cut Diamond set flowers and Pearls aplenty, she is certainly a rare heirloom!

Beautiful Details

ERA: Victorian, c.1880.

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 14" long.
Necklace is 11mm wide, at widest point.
2 x Yellow Garnets 9.5mm long x 7mm wide.
Amethyst is 8.5mm long x 7mm wide.
Brown Tourmaline is 9.5mm long x 8.5mm wide.
2 x Topaz 8.5mm long x 8mm wide.
Weight: 20.6g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Silver Diamond settings, Natural Pearls.
Clockwise from Diamond clasp: Hessonite Garnet (yellowish-Green)(1.90ct) , Amethyst, Green Paste, Cognac Tourmaline (2.20ct), Garnet (1.90ct), Golden Yellow Topaz (2.15ct), Peach-coloured Imperial Topaz (2.15ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD. This Victorian Seed Pearl Harlequin multi-gemstone necklace is in excellent condition! The Pearls have been securely strung onto an 18ct Gold wire, and is set with gemstones, secure in their bezels. The Diamonds are all secure in the flowers and the piece has remained in fabulous condition! The back of the stones do have some abrasions present, from where the piece has been so lovingly worn, but this is only minor when you think about how old she is! The clasp allows for secure and comfortable wear, but does need some gentle manoeuvring to get it out.
