1889 marks the year women's rights activist and suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst and her husband, Richard Pankhurst, created the Women's Franchise League - a movement that fought to give married women the right to vote. Regarded as one of the most famous suffragettes and leaders in first-wave feminist movements, the legacy of Emmeline Pankhurst and her leadership in 1889 continues through to today.

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is 25.5mm long x 10.5mm wide.
Diamonds are approx. 1.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.50ct combined.*
Weight: 2.5g

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, 9ct Gold, Rose-cut Diamonds (0.50ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: This Victorian rose-cut Diamond 1889 brooch is in very good condition. Her rose-cut Diamonds are radiant and set securely within their settings. There are some signs of wear to the Silver settings commensurate with age, however, this does not affect her functionality. With her 9ct Gold pin in perfect working order, this Victorian brooch is a must-have!
