A sumptuous Victorian pear-shaped Garnet drop, ablaze with rich claret hues. The high-domed cabochon centre is framed by two concentric rows of rose-cut Garnets, creating a densely clustered halo that brims with old-world sparkle and romance. MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 35mm long including bail.
Pendant is 24mm wide.
Pear-shaped Garnet measures 19mm long x 11mm wide, weighing approx. 8.75ct.
Round Garnets measure 3mm in diameter, weighing approx. 4.00ct
combined.
Total Garnet weight is approx. 12.75ct.
WEIGHT: 5.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Garnet Gold, Garnet (12.75ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

状態

EXCELLENT: Garnets are bright and secure, with only minor age-related abrasions to a few small stones under magnification; the central cabochon is in excellent condition. The closed-back collet settings and mount show light surface wear and a pleasing antique patina. Subtle old soldering marks are visible to the reverse, consistent with period manufacture.
