This Victorian brooch is a striking example of Niello work, crafted in Silver with Rose Gold highlights. The piece is decorated with a celestial motif of crescent moons and stars, a symbolic and fashionable design of the late 19th century.

Dating to c.1890, it retains its original C-clasp fastening. A wonderful collector’s piece, the crisp Niello inlay and mixed-metal design make it a highly wearable antique jewel, brimming with Victorian charm.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, 15ct Rose Gold.

EXCELLENT: The brooch is in superb condition with crisp Niello detail and no losses. The Silver and Rose Gold surfaces are smooth and bright, and the C-clasp fastening works securely. Minimal signs of age are visible, consistent with a well-cared-for piece of this period.
