A beautifully composed Victorian locket, crafted in Sterling Silver and adorned with 9ct Yellow and Rose Gold appliqués that trace a graceful foliate spray across the front. Bright-cut engraving shimmers across the rectangular form with chamfered corners, the warm mixed-metal leaves set in elegant contrast against the cool, softly patinated Silver. A substantial fixed bail completes the refined silhouette.

Hallmarked for Chester with the date letter S for 1881, this hinged locket embodies the Victorian love of nature-inspired design. The reverse is plain and neatly hallmarked, while the front remains crisp and decorative. Inside, there is room to treasure a photograph or small keepsake, making it both sentimental and striking.

Condition

VERY GOOD: Crisp engraving with light surface wear and a rich, even patina. Small dinks and dents are present, especially to the back, with edges showing minor rubs commensurate with age. Hinge and bail appear secure with no visible structural issues to the front.
