MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is long 21.5mm including jump ring.
Garnet is 12.5mm long x 11mm wide, weighing approx. 8.17ct.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Garnet (8.17ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD. This Victorian 9ct Gold Garnet cabochon charm is in very good condition. The Garnet is plump with delicious berry red hues, with only minor surface wear noticeable under close inspection. Starting life as a brooch, this piece has been expertly converted into this highly wearable pendant, and there is some evidence of this on the back, but the finish is smooth and it wears comfortably against the skin. The Gold is buttery throughout and the rope detail is firmly affixed, with the bezel still holding the Garnet securely in place.
