Each face is richly engraved with scrolling foliage and tiny five-petaled flowers, the polished relief glowing against a finely textured, stippled ground. Condition

EXCELLENT: The engraved foliate and floral motifs remain crisp with only light surface wear and a gentle patina in the recesses. There is evidence of conversion from cufflinks on the back, but the plaques and posts are secure with neat soldering, and the butterfly backs fit well and function smoothly. Overall, very well preserved with minimal signs of age and careful past wear.
