Ornate and romantic, these Victorian teardrop earrings marry rich 18ct Gold with vibrant pink Garnets in a beautifully articulated design. Each earring features a petite round stone at the top leading to an elongated navette drop adorned with raised foliate scrolls and delicate beaded accents, all catching the light with graceful movement.

Tested as 18ct Gold, the pair is set with three Garnets and one sympathetic glass (paste) replacement to a top stone, for an elegant, cohesive look. The Garnets total an estimated 0.55ct combined, their purplish‑pink hues glowing warmly against the Gold. Fine prong/collet work at the top and close settings within the drop speak to quality Victorian craftsmanship and a timeless aesthetic.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 32mm long including hooks.
Earrings are 10.5mm wide.
Round Paste stone measures 4mm in diameter.
Round Garnet measures 4mm in diameter.
Oval Garnets measure 4.5mm long x 2.5mm wide.
Garnets weigh approx. 0.55ct combined.
WEIGHT: 4.3g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (0.55ct), Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD: Garnets are bright with light surface wear and minor abrasions visible under magnification; one replaced top stone is paste with a small chip noted. Gold settings and articulated links are secure with gentle surface wear in keeping with age. No visible repairs, and overall well cared for.
