On the reverse, a glazed panel reveals a section of intricately woven hair, commemorating a love that once was. This large heart padlock pendant is complete with two sage Chrysoberyl gemstones for a gorgeous finishing twinkle.

Crafted in the mid-Victorian era, circa 1860-1880, this is a standout piece with bundles of antique charm!

ERA: Victorian, c. 1860-1880.

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 37.5mm long including bale.
Locket itself is 33mm long x 19.5mm wide.
Garnet is 14mm long x 8.5mm wide, weighing approx. 1.25ct.
Chrysoberyl are 3mm in diameter.
Weight: 7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (1.25ct), Chrysoberyl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: The large juicy Garnet is faceted wonderfully and is secure in its settings, as are the adorning Chrysoberyl gemstones. The 18ct Gold is bright and buttery, with only a couple of minor dinks which go unnoticed amongst the ornate detailing. This padlock is no longer functioning, but is a gorgeous decorative feature. The locket back adds ample charm and with a secure bale, this Victorian padlock pendant can be worn with utmost confidence.
