This spectacular Victorian Garnet ring is a rare and romantic piece of 19th-century craftsmanship. The deep red Garnet cabochon glows like an ember, its rich colour framed by a highly ornate repoussé 18ct Gold mount with scrolling acanthus shoulders and exquisite detailing throughout. Inside, a hand-engraved inscription reads “In memory of Brian Houston, Sep 6th 1851”, a touching memento of enduring love.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring face graduates from 11mm wide at the front to 3mm wide at the back.
Garnet measures 6.5mm long x 6mm wide, weighing approx. 1.10ct.
WEIGHT: 3.7g

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (1.10ct).

HALLMARKS: RN Maker’s Mark, Crown, 18, Leopard’s Head (London Assay), date letter “Q” for 1851.

Condition
