An exquisite Victorian 18ct Gold engraved cigar band, dated 1886. The wide band is richly decorated with a rhythmic procession of rectangular cartouches, each chased with stylised foliate and floral motifs punctuated by tiny starbursts, framed by fine beaded borders and rope-twist dividers. Ornate yet refined, the warm glow of the Gold and the architectural repeat pattern give this ring undeniable presence.

Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1886, it showcases the finesse of late 19th-century craftsmanship. The engraving retains lovely definition with a soft antique patina in the recesses—timeless and effortlessly elegant worn alone or in a stack.

EXCELLENT: The chased decoration remains crisp with only light surface wear to the highest points and a pleasing antique patina in the recesses. The band is sturdy and even with a clean interior, and we see no evidence of resizing or repairs; well cared for and ready to wear.
