A beautifully ornate Victorian 18ct Gold locket pendant, c.1870, crowned with a romantic Diamond star. The face is richly detailed with concentric rope-twist and beaded borders, framing a raised cluster of Old mine cut Diamonds that twinkle with that unmistakable antique charm against warm, buttery Gold.

Delicate yet opulent, this petite treasure opens to reveal a glazed interior compartment, while the decorative bail completes its refined silhouette. The Old mine cut stones lend a soft, lively sparkle, and the craftsmanship throughout speaks to the elegance of the late 19th century.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 31mm long including jump ring.
Pendant itself is 21mm in diameter.
Diamonds graduate from 2mm to 3mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.30ct combined.
WEIGHT: 5.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Old Mine-Cut Diamonds (0.30ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The Old mine cut Diamonds are bright and securely set, with minimal wear visible under magnification. The Gold surfaces are well preserved with only light age-related surface wear to the high points. The locket opens to a clear glazed compartment, with gentle, commensurate surface marks consistent with age and careful wear.
