A delicious pop of Victorian colour, these 18ct Gold Coral earrings pair glowing domed Coral with exquisitely detailed wirework in Etruscan Revival style. Each circular drop is centred by a round Coral cabochon, framed by a rosette of applied cannetille wirework and finished with a twisted rope border for a beautifully sculptural, antique silhouette.

The rich, high-carat Gold has a luxurious satin finish that flatters the vibrant orange hue of the Coral. Elegant, ornate, and effortlessly wearable, they’re a quintessential Victorian jewel with enduring charm. Later 9ct Gold fittings have been added in keeping with their long life and careful stewardship.

ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 16mm long including hooks.
Earring drops are 12mm in diameter.
Coral cabochons are 4mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 2.2g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, 9ct Gold (later studs), Coral.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: Coral cabochons are well matched and smooth with no chips or cracks visible, retaining a rich, even colour. The applied wirework and rope borders are crisp with only light age-appropriate patina; backs are secure and tidy.
