This delicate locket features a Pearl-encrusted flower accented by a Diamond centre. Upon her opening, she boasts a lock of hair on the left side of the locket and a hand-engraved message saying "My dearest Sister, Mrs Elizabeth Ann Bowyer. died 31st Dec 1856, in the 68th year of her age. Her beloved Husband also died March 3"' d 1864, in his 68th year."

ERA: Victorian, c.1856.

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 32mm long inc. jump ring.
Locket is 25.5mm in diameter.
Pearls graduate from 2mm to 3mm in diameter.
Diamonds are 1.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 14g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Blue Enamel, Pearl, Diamond

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: This antique Victorian 9ct Gold mourning hair locket is in exquisite condition for its long life. The Enamel has kept in pristine condition with no dinks or dents to note. Her Pearls are all present and secure and have a delightful lustre with minimal wear. Equally her wonderful engravings are immaculate and the lock of her well in place. Presented in her original box, she will be worn and adored for generations to come.
