This stunning Victorian pendant, dating to around 1860, features a deep purple Amethyst set securely in a Sterling Silver collet, surrounded by a delicate halo of natural Pearls. Rose-cut Diamonds, set in elegant Platinum settings, add subtle sparkle, each nestled in charming star-shaped mounts to the north, south, east, and west of the central stone. The rich Amethyst contrasts beautifully with the luminous Pearls and glittering Diamonds, all framed by luxurious 18ct Gold.

Pearls measure 1.5mm in diameter.
Diamonds measure 0.8mm in diameter.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Sterling Silver, Amethyst (5.25ct), Pearl, Rose-cut Diamond

HALLMARKS: As the piece dates to 1860, it bears no hallmark as was typical of the period. This is not uncommon for antique jewellery made prior to 1950.

EXCELLENT: The Amethyst is in superb condition, showing only a natural fingerprint inclusion and no surface wear or damage. Pearls are well matched and secure with a bright lustre. The Rose-cut Diamonds are secure and add subtle sparkle. The setting and overall structure are strong and show minimal signs of wear, indicating the piece has been very well cared for.
