This superb Late Georgian pendant is crafted in rich 15ct Gold and set with a stunning 4.40ct natural Cornflower blue Sapphire of remarkable size and colour. The heart-shaped design is further enhanced by twinkling Rose-cut Diamonds and vibrant Ruby accents, creating a striking play of hues that was highly prized in the early 19th century.

The large central Sapphire has a soft yet vivid Cornflower tone, beautifully complemented by the deep red Rubies and glittering Diamonds. Item Details

ERA: Georgian, c.1840.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 26mm long including jump ring.
Heart itself is 20mm long x 16.5mm wide.
Sapphire is approx. 12.5mm long x 8.3mm wide.
WEIGHT: 3.9g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, 18ct Gold jump-ring, approx 4.40ct Natural Sapphire, Rubies, Rose-Cut Diamonds.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Sapphire is bright and full of colour, free from chips or abrasions. Rubies and Diamonds are all securely set with natural antique character. The Gold heart frame and jump ring remain strong, with no dents or damage. A beautifully preserved piece over 180 years old.
