EXCELLENT: The Enamel is bright and intact with only minor surface speckling and light wear visible on close inspection. The Silver and 9ct Gold show gentle age-related surface marks and a touch of tarnish; the pin, hinge and C-catch are secure and function well. Discreet evidence of historic solder around the hinge/back plate is noted, stable and not affecting wear.
