A glorious example of Victorian serpentine jewellery, this snake necklace is crafted in rich 18ct Gold and set with a duet of Garnet and Chrysoberyl gemstones. The supple, graduating links flow into a sculptural snake motif, beautifully punctuated by bright Chrysoberyl and lush Garnet accents for that signature antique allure.

MEASUREMENTS: Snake chain is 16" long
Necklace links graduate from 4mm to 2.5mm wide.
Snake motif is 46mm long.
Heart element is 18mm long x 16mm wide.
Chrysoberyls graduate from 3.5mm long x 2.5mm wide to 5mm long x 4mm wide.
Garnet cabochon is 2.5mm in diameter.
Garnets graduate from 6mm to 5mm in diameter.
Single Garnet measures 6.5mm long x 6mm wide.
WEIGHT: 19.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet, Chrysoberyl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: Minimal wear commensurate with age throughout. The Garnets and Chrysoberyls present cleanly and are securely set. The 18ct Gold links and snake motif remain crisp with no visible signs of later repair.
