Sumptuously engraved and wonderfully romantic, this Victorian pomander orb pendant is crafted in glowing 9ct Gold and richly detailed with floral scrolls, laurel leaves and crisp cross‑hatching. The hollow sphere is encircled by a chevron‑bordered equator, with warm yellow and softly rosy tones playing across the bright‑cut engravings for a beautifully antique glow. Hallmarked for Birmingham with date letter “a” for 1900, it captures the era’s love of intricate, tactile ornament.

True to its perfumed heritage, a small pierced domed scent panel houses a removable fabric pad, ready to hold a favourite fragrance. Sculptural yet delicate, this marble‑sized charm wears effortlessly and brings a whisper of Victorian grace to any chain.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The hollow sphere remains in lovely order with crisp hand‑engravings and gentle high‑point softening; light surface wear and minor shallow dings are commensurate with age. The seam is visible by design, the jump ring is secure, and there are no obvious splits or repairs; attractive antique patina within the recesses.
