Crafted circa 1825, this rare Georgian ring is an exquisite example of mourning jewellery. The ring has been crafted from richly saturated 18ct Gold and displays ornate Rococo and forget-me-not details across its entirety, and is described "ob 20th June 1825 AE 69" inside the band.

The ring face has a unique swivel feature, allowing you to effortlessly change up your look. On one side, a Mother of Pearl is haloed by rare French Jet, and on the other, lustrous Pearls, accented by black Enamel shoulders.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring face is 14mm long x 12mm wide.
Mother of Pearl is 9mm long x 6mm wide.
Pearls are 2mm in diameter.
Ring band tapers from 11.5mm wide at the shoulders to 2mm wide at the back.
Weight: 5.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Mother of Pearl, Seed Pearls, French Jet, Black Enamel.

STAMPS: Inscribed: ob 20th June 1825 AE 69.
HALLMARKS: Duty Stamp, Crown, Date letter W on the inside.

VERY GOOD: This ring has lasted incredibly well over the years! The Gold has an even situation throughout, and the shape of the ring has held its form well, with only minor wear inside and a faint resize mark on the back. The gemstones are all present and securely set, with only the Jet and Enamel showing mild signs of wear, visible under close inspection. Steeped in history and exuding old-time charm, this antique mourning ring is a coveted treasure!
