A rare Edwardian treasure, this carved Opal “bunch of grapes” pendant is a joyous celebration of colour and craftsmanship. The hand-carved Opal is alive with vibrant flashes of green, blue, pink, yellow and orange, its sculptural lobes evoking a luscious grape cluster that glows from within.

Set in rich 15ct Gold, the opalescent cabochon is secured by neat little prongs and finished with a folded, tubular bail for a graceful drop. Romantic and characterful, the 10.00ct Opal takes centre stage—an elegant antique jewel with irresistible play-of-colour and tactile presence.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 42.5mm long including bail.
Pendant is 20.5mm wide.
Opal measures 30mm long x 20mm wide, weighing approx. 10.00ct.
WEIGHT: 6g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Natural Solid Opal (10.00ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

状態

EXCELLENT: The Opal is bright with strong play-of-colour and crisp carving, with no obvious chips or cracks. The 15ct Gold mount, prongs and bail are secure and gleaming, showing only light surface wear commensurate with age. Subtle soldering to the bail is consistent with original hand-finishing; no evidence of repairs.
