We have never seen anything like this Rare Boulder Opal pendant here at Lillicoco. Of Victorian origin, she features a hand-carved scene depicting a Japanese village.

At 27.8 grams, she is a hefty piece, boasting midnight blues, neon greens, and snippets of yellows - hanging from a 9ct Gold bale.

Although it was common to carve Boulder Opals like this in the Victorian era, a piece of this size, shape and subject matter is exceptionally rare, making this antique pendant a highly coveted piece that is guaranteed to be admired for generations to come!

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 38.5mm long including jump ring.
Pendant is 40mm wide.
Weight: 27.8g.

MATERIALS: Bale is 9ct Gold, Boulder Opal.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT-VERY GOOD: This Rare Antique Boulder Opal pendant is presented in excellent condition - her Village scene is in pristine condition with little to no wear to the engravings. The Boulder Opal itself features wonderful colour with no dinks or dents to her surface -remarkable considering her vast age. There is some wear to colour of the 9ct Gold bale, however it still holds the Boulder Opal allowing for consistent and reliable wear.
