A rare and beautifully engraved Victorian book chain collar in Silver, composed of alternating curved rectangular cartouche links and rounded connector rings. Each cartouche is adorned with scrolling foliate decoration, the recessed details enriched by a soft, time-earned patina for a striking play of light and shadow. Substantial in presence yet refined in execution, it delivers that quintessential Victorian balance of ornament and structure.

The oversized bolt-ring clasp adds a handsome finishing touch and easy styling, perfect worn alone or paired with a favourite locket or charm. At 48g it has a wonderfully luxurious feel, with the full articulation giving fluid movement and comfort.

EXCELLENT: The engraved links are crisp with a rich patina that accentuates the foliate motifs. Light surface wear and tiny, age-related marks are present under close inspection only. All links are secure and the large bolt-ring clasp fastens smoothly and securely.
