A Diamond sparkling at the centre of an Amethyst is such a delightful surprise! Here, the oval purple stone has been custom cut to accommodate its bright centre, while a border of creamy Pearls follows the outline. Above it, a kite-shaped Amethyst gives the pendant a wonderfully pointed finishing flourish.

The two Amethysts total 3.40ct, with the 0.10ct Old-Cut Diamond adding a concentrated glimmer against the rich purple. Warm Gold around the Pearls and across the reverse completes the late Victorian design. It is a lovely choice for someone drawn to antique jewels with an unusual detail to discover.

ERA: Late Victorian, c.1900

MEASUREMENTS: 35.5mm long including bail by 17.5mm wide.
Kite-shaped Amethyst measures 9mm long by 5mm wide by 4mm deep.
Oval Amethyst measures 14mm long by 12mm wide by 3.5mm deep.
Diamond measures 3mm in diameter.
Pearls range from 1.5mm to 3mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 3.9g

MATERIALS: 18ct Gold, with a 9ct Gold jump ring and Silver Diamond setting.

GEMSTONES: Custom-cut Amethysts: kite-shaped stone 0.70ct and oval stone 2.70ct, 3.40ct combined. Old-Cut Diamond, 0.10ct. Pearls.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
