This rare 17th Century 18ct Gold Stuart Crystal Diamond cluster ring is a remarkable example of early mourning or protest jewellery, crafted in 18ct Gold. At her centre lies a finely faceted Rock Crystal - known as a Stuart Crystal - encasing a delicate coil, historically symbolic of loyalty to the executed King Charles 1st of the House of Stuart.

As you can see... this one is particularly dreamy with a rare pale pink hue and Gold thread cypher!

Encircled by a cluster of natural Rose-cut Diamonds forming like a halo around the central Crystal, her aesthetic domed atop a finely worked Gold band with ornate engraved / heavily embossed floral shoulders that speak to the fine craftsmanship of the period.

We see examples like this in museums throughout the continent- usually assigned with Iberian or Italian provenance due to the signature black and white Enamelled underside and aesthetic grooves that date her to around the 1660's to 1700!

With her exquisite craftsmanship, this piece is a deeply significant and rare, making it a highly collectable item of 17th-century jewellery.

EXCELLENT: This exceptional 17th Century 18ct Gold Stuart Crystal Diamond cluster ring is in excellent condition, particularly impressive given her grand age! The finely faceted Stuart Crystal remains clear and intact, with only mild surface wear consistent with centuries of careful preservation. The surrounding rose-cut Diamonds are well set with gentle wear, and the intricately engraved 18ct Gold band shows minor softening to detail, all in keeping with her historic journey. A truly remarkable piece of early jewellery, she embodies both the beauty and resilience of centuries past.
