A magnificent Georgian Carnelian riviere necklace, c.1800, crafted in rich 15ct Gold. Sunset-hued domed cabochons graduate gracefully around the neckline, each nestled in classic period collets for a smooth, luminous flow of colour and light.

At its heart sits a detachable Cross pendant, offering two looks in one: wear the riviere alone for pure Georgian elegance, or add the Cross for a striking focal drop. With approximately 120.00cts of vibrant Carnelian, this historic jewel brings warmth, depth, and undeniable presence to any collection.

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 15" (38cm) long.
Carnelians graduate from 7mm to 17mm in diameter, weighing approx. 120.00cts combined.
Drop is 45mm long.
Cross is 33mm long x 3mm wide.
WEIGHT: 47.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Carnelian (120.00ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

状態

EXCELLENT: The Carnelian cabochons present a glossy polish with no chips or distracting abrasions observed, and are well matched in tone. The 15ct Gold collets and articulated links are secure with only light age-related surface wear. No obvious later repairs or alterations are noted.
