A rare Late Georgian heart, this c.1840 portrait locket pendant-brooch marries romance and refinement in equal measure. At its centre lies a hand-painted miniature protected beneath a domed crystal, framed by a delicate foliate openwork border. The halo of petite, old-style cut Diamonds glints with charming candlelight sparkle, their cool tones set in Silver to heighten the contrast against the warm 15ct Gold body.

Ingeniously convertible, the suspension loop pivots to tuck away when worn as a brooch, with a neat tube hinge and pin to the reverse. Elegant and exquisitely detailed, it’s a timeless keepsake of Georgian sentiment, designed to be cherished and worn with ease.

ERA: Late Georgian, c.1840.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 27.5mm long including jump ring.
Heart itself is 21mm long x 18mm wide.
Diamonds graduate from 1mm to 1.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.16ct combined.
WEIGHT: 6.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Silver Diamond settings, Diamond (0.16ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: Diamonds are bright with minimal age-consistent facet wear, all secure in their settings. The 15ct Gold and Silver mount, hinge and pin are crisp and well-preserved with only light surface wear expected of a Georgian jewel.
