A large Art Nouveau Silver sliding locket richly adorned with flowing foliate scrolls over a vertically reeded ground, framing a smooth central cartouche left invitingly blank for initials. The design embodies the graceful naturalism of the period, its crisp chasing and linear engine-turning creating a beautiful play of light across the surface.

Substantial in hand at 30.5g and crafted in Silver that tests as such, it is a romantic keepsake designed to hold cherished photographs or mementos. The hasp bears French Import stamps, adding a cosmopolitan touch to this elegant and timeless treasure.

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 59mm long including jump ring.
Locket is 36.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 30.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver.

STAMPS: French Import stamps on the hasp.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
