This rare and impressive Victorian “family” locket, c.1860, opens on both sides and showcases wonderfully crisp hand-engraving. Flourishes of Forget-me-nots, a symbolic buckle motif and twin blank cartouches decorate each face, giving it both sentiment and space for personalisation.

Made in 9ct Gold Back & Front with sturdy metal fittings for durability, it’s a substantial piece with real presence and that sought-after oversized antique bale—perfect for a bold chain or longguard.

Locket itself is 34mm long x 29mm wide.
WEIGHT: 17.5g.

MATERIALS: Testst as 9ct Gold Back & Front, metal hinges, frames and bale.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
