Opulent and romantic, this ornate antique 15ct Gold ring showcases a deep wine-red Garnet lifted high in a scalloped coronet "buttercup" setting. The stone’s rich hue glows beautifully in the open-back setting, while the tall profile creates a striking silhouette on the hand.

Sumptuously chased foliate shoulders flow into a tapered, rounded shank, with crisp engraving that frames the flower-like head and tidy, even claws. Inside the band you’ll find “15” and “625” stamps, affirming the quality and period character collectors adore.

MEASUREMENTS: Garnet is 9mm long x7mm wide, weighing approx 2.40ct.
Band is 3mm wide at the back.
WEIGHT: 4g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Garnet (2.40ct).

HALLMARKS: 15, 625, Anchor (Birmingham Assay), date letter M for 1886.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Garnet is bright and crisp, and no obvious chips or cracks. The high coronet setting and chased shoulders are crisp with a bright polish. Claws appear secure with no obvious repairs, and there are no visible resizing marks to the shank.
