Glowing with earthy elegance, this Victorian banded Agate pendant showcases a superb, high-domed cabochon with striking natural stripes of deep reddish-brown, charcoal black, smoky blue-grey and creamy white. The gem is framed in a smooth closed-back bezel and encircled by a refined rope border that lends a subtle Etruscan-revival flourish.

Crafted in Sterling Silver richly gilded with 9ct Gold and finished with a 9ct Gold jump ring, the piece balances minimalist lines with historic detail for a look that’s timeless and sophisticated. A beautiful late Victorian jewel with bold, graphic presence and a luxurious golden glow.

ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 25mm long x 21mm wide.
Agate is 21mm long x 17.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 8.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver (gilded with 9ct Gold), 9ct Gold jump ring, Banded Agate.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Agate is bright and glossy with light natural micro-abrasions and a tiny surface pit visible under magnification; no chips or cracks observed. The closed-back gilt Sterling Silver and rope border remain crisp with gentle age-related wear and fine surface marks; the jump ring is secure. No visible repairs or alterations.
