Romantic and bold, these Georgian double-drop earrings glow with luscious deep-red Paste domes encircled by scintillating Cut Steel halos. The articulated “target” design dances with the light, each high-domed centre crowned by a tiny rosette and framed in warm Gold-toned bezels for a striking contrast against the darker, steel-toned sparkle.

Expertly hand-fabricated with closed backs and scalloped milegrain rims, they embody the allure of early 19th-century style with a nod to Queen Anne elegance. Finished with simple shepherd-hook fittings, they offer superb antique presence and movement. Hooks can be replaced with 18ct Gold on request.

Item Details

ERA: Georgian (1714–1837).

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 46mm long including hooks.
Each earring is 20.5mm wide.
Red Paste domes graduate from 11.5mm to 15mm in diameter.
Cut Steel studs measure approximately 1.5mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 12g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as Metal settings and hooks, Red Paste, Cut Steel.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: Paste domes show light abrasions and minor edge wear commensurate with age; Cut Steel shows minor dulling and the odd tiny nick under magnification. Settings display attractive antique patina with some oxidation on the reverse; articulation is secure and free-moving. Ear wires appear later replacements; no losses or structural repairs observed.
