This Georgian pink foiled Rock Crystal Pinchbeck earrings & brooch demi-parure set is an incredible find!

The Georgians were lovers of a parure, a full set of jewellery containing a necklace, earrings, pendant and brooch. A demi-parure comprises two to three pieces, and this one has been made with 18ct Gold and pink foiled Rock Crystal gemstones. The intricacy of the cannettille work and floral details of the Golden Pinchbeck are simply breathtaking, enhanced by the bright magenta tones of the foiled crystals

Each Rock Crystal has been foiled with a bright, cranberry-infused hue, complementing the Gold so beautifully. This set is rich in beauty and will certainly stand out in your collection.

Each Rock Crystal has been foiled with a bright, cranberry-infused hue, complementing the Gold so beautifully. This set is rich in beauty and will certainly stand out in your collection.

ERA: Georgian, c.1820.

MEASUREMENTS:

Brooch:
51mm in diameter.
Rock Crystal graduates from 8.5mm to 11.5mm long.
Weight: 19.2g combined.

Earrings:
53.5mm top to bottom.
Rock Crystal graduates from 6.5mm to 12.5mm.
Weight: 8.7g combined.

MATERIALS:
Brooch: 18ct Gold body (structured sections), Pinchbeck cannetille work, 15ct Gold pin.
Pinchbeck earrings, solid 18ct Gold hooks.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This Georgian pink foiled Rock Crystal Pinchbeck earrings & brooch demi-parure is in very good condition overall. The foiled backs of the Rock Crystal have lasted beautifully, with only very minor lifting on a few of the stones in the brooch. The brooch has kept its shape so well, but there is some evidence of the piece being repaired. This is mainly visible to the back of the piece on the domed settings, but also to some of the Pinchbeck cannetille detailing on the front.

The earrings hang beautifully in the ear with 18ct Gold hooks. There are some dings notable to the back of the domed settings, but you can't see this when they're in the ear. The fitted box allows each of these pieces to be kept safe. The box has some minor wear and tear visible, but given it has been responsible for safeguarding the demi-parure, it's lasted very well.
