This exquisite Georgian locket, circa 1800, is crafted in warm 12ct Gold and adorned with lustrous natural Pearls. The circular design features a large glazed porthole centre, framed by a halo of Pearls and finished with an impressive Pearl-set bale, a hallmark of refined Georgian craftsmanship.

Originally designed to hold a miniature portrait or lock of hair, this romantic piece beautifully encapsulates the sentimentality and elegance of the Georgian era, making it a truly special collector’s jewel.

MEASUREMENTS: Locket measures 48mm long including bale.
Locket itself is 29mm in diameter.
Glazed window is 21mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 7.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 12ct Gold, Natural Pearl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The locket is in outstanding antique condition. The Pearls are well matched and secure, the Gold retains a rich hue, and the glass front is clear and intact. A remarkable example of Georgian sentiment jewellery.
