This Georgian green Queen Anne Paste brooch is a remarkable piece of history! Made over 250 years ago, circa 1790, this exquisite treasure is destined for your jewellery box.

This superb piece of Georgian jewellery has been crafted from Sterling Silver to create comfortable dished settings for the Paste to rest in, which have notably crisp facets that glisten beneath the light! The Paste is a rich forest green that has retained all of its original intensity - who'd have thought that a Georgian treasure would be just as desirable all these years later!

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is 29mm from top to bottom.
Brooch is 39mm wide.
Weight: 9.1g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Queen Anne Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT. This Georgian green Queen Anne Paste brooch is in excellent condition, especially when you think about her grand age. The Paste has a remarkable brightness to it, and each one has been beautifully preserved. There is some variation in tone to some of the smaller Paste gems, but when you are over 230 years old, we think that'd be the least of your worries! The back of the piece does have some wear to note, with a patina having accrued within the settings of the foliate details, with only slight porosity present.
