Saturated royal-purple glow meets early 19th-century craft in these Georgian foiled Purple Paste drop earrings. Each richly coloured oval is hand-faceted and secured in deep cut-down, piecrust collets for a bold, gem-forward silhouette that feels elegant and timeless.

The two-tone settings marry Gold-gilded Silver with 9ct Gold shepherd-hook fittings, the patina adding character and depth to the colour. ERA: Georgian (1714–1837).

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 17.5mm long including hooks.
Earring drops are 14.5mm long x 12.5mm wide.
Purple Paste stones measure 13.5mm long x 11.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 4.7g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold hooks, Gold-gilded Silver settings, Purple Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: Pastes display light facet wear and a few tiny edge nicks visible under magnification, consistent with age. Collets and rims show minor dings and a handsome antique patina; the shepherd hooks are secure and well-fitted. Overall well preserved for Georgian earrings and ready to wear.
