ERA: Georgian (1714–1837)

MEASUREMENTS: Clasp is 13mm long x 8mm wide.
Weight: 1.05g

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, 9ct Gold, Coral. Bolt ring tested as 9ct Gold.

STAMPS: “15” tag near clasp

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: This clasp has survived remarkably well, with the Coral free from chips or cracks and still vibrant in colour. The mechanism closes with a satisfying click and functions securely, a testament to the fine craftsmanship and care it has received over the centuries.
