ERA: Georgian, c.1820.
MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 11.5mm long x 10.5mm wide.
Carnelian is 10.5mm long x 8.5mm wide.
Weight: 2.3g combined.
MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver (gilded), Carnelian.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition
VERY GOOD. These Georgian Carnelian oval stud earrings are in very good condition. The Carnelian cabochons are perfectly smooth with no chips or scuffs. Once gilded bright yellow, the Silver is now a slightly burnished champagne toned commensurate with age, but they hold the pretty burnt sienna Carnelians securely in place. The newly added (not by us!) butterfly backs are snug-fitting allowing you to wear these antique Carnelian studs with absolute confidence!
