These bright Georgian Black Dot Paste button earrings will add a lovely glimmering accent to your lobes! Classically Georgian in style, each Diamond paste is displayed within a Sterling Silver piecrust setting suspended from 9ct Gold hooks for a luxurious finish.

Black Dot Paste was originally created during the Georgian era to mimic Diamonds, with the "black dot" hand-painted on the back to give the illusion of a Diamond culet. Steeped in history with a wonderful display of Georgian craftsmanship, Georgian Paste jewellery is highly coveted today, and these earrings are a wonderful example!

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 17.5mm long from the top of the hooks.
Earrings are 10mm in diameter.
Paste are 9mm in diameter.
Hooks are 21mm long.
Weight: 3.3g combined.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver with 9ct Gold hooks, Black Dot Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT. These Georgian Black Dot Paste button earrings are in lovely condition, especially when considering their grand age! The Paste gems are bright and securely set within their piecrust settings, with their hand-painted black dots still visible. The Silver is bright with a light patina having accrued around the crimped settings creating a lovely contrast against the scintillating Paste. There are some light dings on the domed back settings, commensurate with age, which aren't noticeable during wear. The slender 9ct Gold hooks are securely soldered and are generous in size allowing for comfortable and secure wear!
