Petite and boasting bundles of character, this Georgian brooch flaunts two magnificently saturated flat-cut Garnets, arranged into a gorgeous Halley's comet formation.

The Garnets are set within typically Georgian decorative settings, crafted from rosy 9ct Gold.

ERA: Georgian, c.1835.

MEASUREMENTS: Garnet is 21mm long x 9mm wide.
Round Garnet is 3.5mm in diameter.
Square Garnet is 8mm x 8mm.
Total Garnet weight is approx. 0.65ct.
Weight: 1.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Flat-cut Garnets (0.65ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: Each Garnet is in brilliant condition, free from evident surface wear and secure in its settings. There is a small inclusion present within the square Garnet - a feature we like to see as a little nod to Mother Nature! With only some minor spots of discolouration to the Gold commensurate with age and a perfectly functioning brooch pin, you can wear this antique piece with confidence.
