Garnets measure approx. 4mm in diameter.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT to VERY GOOD. This Georgian Garnet pendant has survived in remarkable condition for its age. The Garnets display a rich, velvety hue and are securely set, though some natural wear to the surfaces can be seen under close inspection, which is consistent with flat-cut stones of this period. The back shows evidence of a careful conversion from brooch to pendant, allowing the piece to be enjoyed in a more wearable form today. Overall, this jewel presents beautifully, with plenty of antique character and timeless charm.
