A magnificent Georgian locket-back pendant set with glowing flat-cut Garnets and a delicate border of Natural Pearls. The Garnets, foiled in the traditional Georgian manner, radiate rich cranberry and crimson hues, sparkling with life and depth. At the centre lies a glass-fronted locket compartment, containing tiny drilled Pearls, a touching memento of the past.

Crafted in 9ct Gold, this pendant also retains its original brooch fittings and locket back, both still fully functional. An exquisite piece of early 19th-century jewellery, it captures the Georgian fascination with sentiment, symbolism, and vibrant colour.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 29mm long x 32mm wide.
Garnets measure approx. 4.5mm in diameter.
Pearls measure approx. 2.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 9g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Garnet, Natural Pearl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The Garnets are vibrant with intact foiling, full of colour and sparkle. The Pearls are lustrous and well-matched. The locket back closes securely, and all original fittings remain intact. Remarkably well-preserved for its age.
