ERA: Georgian, c.1820.

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 16" or 40.5cm long.
Garnets graduate from 2.5mm in diameter to 9.2mm long x 5.3mm wide, weighing approx. 19.60ct combined.
Weight: 43.7g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, flat-cut Garnets (19.60ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: This Georgian 9ct Gold flat-cut Garnet pansy necklace is in very good condition. Each Garnet pansy has a rich hue and is securely set. There are some inconsistencies in a few of the settings where Garnets have been replaced over time. These Garnets are slightly brighter than others, and the finish to the Gold is not as uniform as the older Garnets. However, the settings cannot be seen when the necklace is worn and each and every gemstone is radiant and securely set. With her clasp in perfect working order and considering her age, this antique necklace is phenomenal and can be worn confidently.
