This Georgian charm is set with two glowing flat-cut Garnets in a classic drop arrangement: an oval to the top and a pear-shaped drop beneath. Foil-backed and mounted in traditional cut-down collet settings of 9ct Gold, the stones show that rich claret hue so prized in early 19th-century jewels. A dainty, characterful piece ready to add a pop of Georgian colour to any chain.

ERA: Georgian (1714–1837).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 22mm long inc. jump ring.
Top oval Garnet is 7mm wide.
Pear Garnet is 9mm long.
Total Garnet weight is approx. 0.45ct.
Weight: 0.9g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Foiled Flat-Cut Garnet (0.45ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

状態

VERY GOOD: The Garets are both a rich crimson colour and the foils within bring a bright luminosity to the gems. The domed Gold backs are in very good condition and haven't been squashed or dented, which is rare for a piece this old. She isn't perfect- there is a small chip to one of the facet edges of the oval stone (top) at the 2 o'clock position. Garnets are secure with rich colour and free from deep scratches or abrasions, so they are still very sparkly and have a high-shine finish. Settings are strong with a pleasing antique patina.
