A refined French Art Nouveau cluster ring in 18ct Gold, set with a luminous pale Aquamarine in a smooth rubover collet and framed by a halo of glinting Marcasites with delicate milgrain detail. The white-toned halo plays beautifully against the warm Gold, creating a crisp two-tone effect that feels both romantic and poised.

Elegantly split, pierced shoulders with dark navette accents lead to a pretty under-gallery, lending lightness and intricacy to the head. Stamped with the French Eagle’s Head and set with an Aquamarine of approximately 1.80cts, this antique jewel offers that effortless, softly-sparkling charm we love from the turn of the century.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring head measures 14mm long/
Band is 2mm wide at the back.
Aquamarine is 9.5mm long x 6mm wide, weighing approx. 1.80ct.
WEIGHT: 3.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Aquamarine (1.80ct), Marcasite.

STAMPS: French Eagle’s Head, Inscribed “62”, “205”.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Aquamarine shows gentle softening to the facet edges with light abrasions consistent with age; Marcasites are present and secure with a pleasing antique patina to the white-toned halo. The setting and shank are in good order with light surface wear only. No visible resizing or restoration marks noted.
