A delicate French Antique pair of Victorian dormeuse lever-back earrings, beautifully crafted in two-tone 18ct Gold and Silver and set with natural old mine cut Diamonds. Each earring features a petite Diamond surmount leading to a lacy openwork rosette centred by a slightly larger Diamond, giving refined sparkle with graceful articulation.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 12.5mm long from the top of the levers.
Earrings are 6.5mm wide.
2 x Diamonds measure 1.5mm in diameter.
2 x Diamonds measure 2.5mm in diameter.
Total Diamond weight is approx. 0.15ct.
WEIGHT: 2.6g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Silver settings, Diamond (0.15ct).

STAMPS: EB maker's mark on hooks, angel.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: Diamonds are bright with minimal facet wear and are secure in their settings. Metalwork shows light surface wear with gentle patina in recessed areas, all commensurate with age. A discreet old solder to one top loop is visible under magnification; overall beautifully preserved and well cared for.
